KATHMANDU: The new generation model of the Hyundai Palisade is set to enter the market. Even before its official launch, the updated Palisade has gained global attention. It will feature a 2.5-liter turbo hybrid engine.

Korean automaker Hyundai unveiled the new generation Palisade for the first time at the New York International Auto Show. The company has made significant upgrades to its largest SUV model.

According to Hyundai, the new hybrid Palisade can deliver a mileage of up to 1,000 kilometers on a full tank of petrol. The SUV is now 2.5 inches longer than its predecessor, with a 2.7-inch longer wheelbase.

This flagship SUV now features large 21-inch wheels. It also boasts a class-leading drag coefficient of 0.31, giving it a tall and bold appearance.

Inside, the dashboard comes with a dual-screen setup, both screens measuring 12.3 inches. For added convenience, the vehicle is equipped with a wireless charger, a 100-watt USB port, and a Type-C port.

The spacious interior can comfortably accommodate up to eight passengers. Safety features have also been enhanced, with the inclusion of a built-in dash cam, UV-C sanitizing console, driver assistance features, and all-terrain tires.

The Hyundai Palisade is especially popular in the North American market. In 2024, it reached a record with 110,055 units sold in the United States. Since the first-generation Palisade was already available in Nepal, the new generation model is also expected to launch in the Nepali market.
