KATHMANDU : Mahindra has introduced its new electric SUV, the XEV 9S, in Nepal. Agni Incorporated, the authorized distributor of Mahindra in Nepal, has started sales of the SUV at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
The Mahindra XEV 9S is priced at Rs 6 million in Nepal.
The XEV 9S follows a more conventional SUV design compared with Mahindra’s coupe-style XEV 9e. While the model is offered with three battery options in India, the Nepal-spec XEV 9S is available with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs.
The SUV gets a distinctive front design with an LED light bar, closed-off grille and muscular bumper. Unlike the sloping roofline of the XEV 9e, the XEV 9S features a more upright and traditional SUV profile.
The XEV 9S has a 2,762 mm wheelbase and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. Its design places greater emphasis on cabin space and passenger comfort.
The cabin features a triple-screen dashboard layout. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera and dual-zone climate control.
Mahindra has also equipped the SUV with a 16-speaker Harman audio system, Dolby Atmos, a head-up display, ADAS 2.0, a memory function for the driver’s seat and an air purifier.
The seven-seat SUV also focuses on second-row comfort. The second-row seats get ventilation, sliding and reclining functions, sun blinds, tray tables, wireless charging and entertainment screens.
The third-row seats are primarily designed for children or shorter journeys.
