KATHMANDU : MG Motor has started sales of its powerful Majestor SUV in Nepal. JS Automobiles, the authorized distributor of India-made MG vehicles in Nepal, unveiled the SUV at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.

The MG Majestor has been priced at Rs 25 million in Nepal.

The SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged diesel engine. It produces 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Majestor is available with both rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options.

The SUV gained attention earlier this year after reportedly towing a 406.4-tonne train, setting a Guinness World Records achievement.

The Majestor measures 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width and 1,876 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.

The SUV gets a large glossy-black grille at the front. It also features vertically positioned LED headlamps and slim eyebrow-style LED daytime running lights. The lower bumper gets rugged black body cladding.

The SUV rides on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets connected LED tail lights, dual exhaust outlets and a silver skid plate.

The Majestor is designed for serious off-road use. Its four-wheel-drive system offers 10 off-road driving modes, along with front, rear and center differential locks.

It also features crawl control and 219 mm of ground clearance. The SUV can reportedly wade through water up to 810 mm deep.

For safety, the Majestor comes with Level 2 ADAS. The cabin features a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen, a 12.3-inch information display and a three-spoke steering wheel.

Other interior features include three-zone climate control, a 12-speaker sound system, heated and ventilated seats, and massage functions.

Based on the Maxus D90 platform, the MG Majestor combines a large SUV design with strong towing capability, off-road hardware and premium cabin features.
