KATHMANDU: Maruti Suzuki has started testing the facelifted Baleno hatchback. Recent spy images show the updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno on public roads in India.

The facelifted Baleno is expected to receive a revised front grille and new bumper design. It may also get updated LED headlamps for a fresher look.

At the rear, the overall design appears similar to the current model. However, refreshed LED tail lamps and new alloy wheels are likely.

The interior was not clearly visible in the spy shots. Reports suggest the Baleno could retain the current dashboard layout.

Maruti may update seat upholstery, trim materials and cabin finishes. The hatchback is expected to continue with the 1.2-liter petrol engine.

A CNG version is also likely to remain on offer. Rumors also suggest the facelifted Baleno could receive the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.

Maruti Suzuki has not announced an official launch date yet. The updated Baleno is expected to arrive in the Indian market in the coming months.
