KATHMANDU: Maruti Suzuki’s first pure electric offering is all set to go on sale in India next month. Prices for the e Vitara will be announced on December 2, 2025.

The e Vitara will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv.ev, Mahindra BE 6 and the MG ZS EV.

The e Vitara is likely to be offered with two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The bigger battery pack is said to deliver up to 500 km of range.

The electric SUV will be available in single- and dual-motor configurations. The AllGrip-e variant will use the larger 61 kWh battery and dual e-motors producing 181 BHP.

In terms of features, the e Vitara will offer a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.

The SUV will also get a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS.

Production of the e Vitara has already commenced at Maruti’s Hansalpur plant in Gujarat. Around 7,000 units have been exported since August this year.

Its Nepal launch is likely to follow the India launch through CG Motorcorp.
