KATHMANDU: Himalaya Motrox has launched the Maxus MIFA 7 electric MPV at the ongoing NAIMA Auto Show at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
Maxus is a global brand under China’s SAIC Motor Group. In Nepal, the brand is represented by Himalaya Motrox, a company under the Himalaya Organization, which has been in the automobile business for over 30 years.
The MIFA 7 is a premium seven-seater electric MPV. It is equipped with modern features and is targeted at customers looking for comfort and style in the EV segment.
The company has set the price of the MIFA 7 at Rs 12.5 million. Similarly, the recently launched Maxus eTerron9 electric pickup is priced at Rs 11 million.
Managing Director Saurav Thapa shared that customers booking the MIFA 7 during the expo will get a cash discount of Rs 1 million.
The eTerron9 is also available with a Rs 500,000 discount and additional benefits.
The MIFA 7 comes with a 90 kWh battery. It supports DC fast charging and can charge from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The vehicle has a maximum range of 635 km (WLTP).
It includes features like electric sliding doors, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind spot monitoring and a 360-degree camera. It has received 5-star safety ratings from Euro NCAP, C-NCAP and A-NCAP.
The interior includes dual 12.3-inch digital displays, a large panoramic sunroof, massage seats and a high-end multimedia system. The MIFA 7 runs on a 180 kW electric motor that delivers 350 Nm of torque.
It comes with an 8-year or 200,000 km battery warranty and a 5-year or 100,000 km motor warranty.
