KATHMANDU: Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd. has officially launched the Mahindra XEV 9e electric SUV in Nepal. The launch took place during the ongoing NAIMA Mobility Expo at Bhrikutimandap.
The XEV 9e is Mahindra’s latest pure electric model. It was brought to Nepal a few months ago for testing. The vehicle has already received good feedback in India and is now being introduced in Nepal, South Africa and Australia.
In Nepal, the XEV 9e is priced at Rs 6.9 million.
The company believes it will compete well with other electric SUVs, especially those from Chinese brands. Mahindra is known for its wide service network and experience in making strong vehicles.
The XEV 9e comes with two battery options. The 59 kWh battery offers a 400 km range, while the 79 kWh battery provides over 550 km.
It supports DC fast charging. With a 175 kW charger, the battery can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes.
Inside the cabin, the SUV features three 12.3-inch screens. It also comes with 16 speakers and a 1400-watt Harman Kardon sound system.
Other features include memory seats, boss mode on the front seat, a wireless charger, and a panoramic roof with LED lights.
Built for tough roads, the XEV 9e uses semi-active damper suspension. It also has 19-inch wheels and a ground clearance of 207 mm, making it suitable for both city and rough road driving.
The SUV is available with two motor options. One delivers 99 kW power and the other produces 199 kW.
Designed in a coupe style, the XEV 9e measures 4789 mm in length and 1907 mm in width. It stands at 1694 mm in height, offering good headroom and interior space.
Built on a pure EV platform, the cabin feels spacious with plenty of storage. Mahindra says the XEV 9e is designed to offer comfort, performance and a modern driving experience.
