KATHMANDU: The MG Windsor EV is officially hitting the Nepali roads this Wednesday.
Paramount Motors, the authorized distributor for MG vehicles in Nepal, is introducing the all-electric compact utility vehicle (CUV) to the local market.
The Windsor is the second EV model produced in India by JSW MG after the Comet EV, which is already available in Nepal. The car, which has seen strong sales in India, is expected to compete directly with the BYD Dolphin in the Nepali market.
According to Paramount Motors, the Windsor EV will be available in two variants—Exclusive and Essence. As per the pricing structure unveiled by the company earlier, the Exclusive variant will cost Rs 3.949 million and the Essence Rs 4.249 million. The actual prices, however, are expected to be lower.
The car is powered by a 38 kWh LFP battery and a 100 kW electric motor, offering a driving range of 331 kilometers on full charge.
The MG Windsor is a feature-rich compact utility vehicle (CUV) designed with luxury and comfort in mind. It comes with features like wireless charger, automatic air conditioning and electrically adjustable front seats. It also comes equipped with high-end features like power tailgate, six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC) and a 360-degree camera.
The car is powered by a 38 kWh LFP battery and a 100 kW electric motor, which delivers a peak torque of 200 Nm. According to MG, the car offers a range of 331 kilometers on full charge. In urban testing conditions in India, it reportedly achieved a range of up to 327 km.
The Windsor EV has flush door handles, clean surface aesthetics and full LED lighting. A large front grille gives the Windsor a distinctive, futuristic look. It sports 18-inch alloy wheels.
According to MG, rear seats in the Windsor recline up to 135 degrees for added passenger comfort, while the panoramic glass roof enhances the cabin’s spacious feel. The interior also features an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a large 15.6-inch floating central control screen.
