KATHMANDU: The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA), the umbrella body of the country’s automobile sector, is set to be upgraded into a federation.
A meeting of NADA’s Central Executive Committee held on August 24 decided to transform the association into a federation.
According to NADA, this move fulfills its members’ long-standing aspiration of over 15 years to elevate the organization into a federation.
NADA has called a special general assembly at The Plaza Lalitpur for September 9 to endorse its Central Executive Committee’s decision to adopt a federation structure.

Established in 1975, NADA’s membership comprises vehicle importers, dealers, spare parts suppliers, tire traders, lubricant businesses and other related entrepreneurs.
“The decision has been taken to give shape to the long-held wishes, desires and aspirations of our members. It will transform NADA into a truly national-level institution and ensure stronger protection of the rights and interests of its members,” the association said in a statement.
