KATHMANDU: The Nepal National Transport Business Association has announced an indefinite shutdown of public transportation services across the country, effective immediately.
This decision comes following the escalation of nationwide protests of Gen Z that began on Monday.
In a press release, the association stated that the shutdown, which affects both passenger and freight vehicles, will continue until the safety of vehicles and drivers is guaranteed.
Furthermore, the association strongly condemned the government’s brutal crackdown on peaceful protesters during the demonstrations.
