Nearly half a dozen car showrooms torched in Thapathali [In Pictures]

KATHMANDU: Nearly half a dozen car showrooms in the Thapathali area were set on fire during a protest in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

During Gen Z protests, demonstrators targeted several automobile showrooms and set them ablaze.

Showrooms of Tata Motors, CG Motors, Mahindra, Suzuki, Hyundai and others were vandalized and torched.

Most of the showrooms were completely destroyed in the fire. Vehicles kept on display were also burnt.

The exact number of cars damaged and the scale of losses have not been confirmed yet.
