New EVs unveiled at NAIMA with price and battery specifications

KATHMANDU: The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 has entered its third day. The event is drawing attention for its strong focus on electric vehicles. So far, around 15 new four-wheelers have been unveiled. Among them, six are electric models.

The price of these EVs starts at Rs 2.9 million and goes up to nearly Rs 10 million. Their launch reflects the growing demand for electric mobility in Nepal. It also shows rising competition among auto distributors looking to tap into this expanding segment.

Presented below is a detailed overview of the newly launched electric vehicles, including their respective prices and battery specifications.

BYD ATTO 1

Cimex Inc. introduced the BYD ATTO 1, the most affordable EV at the expo. It comes in two variants. The Dynamic variant is priced at Rs 2.895 million and features a 30.08 kWh battery with a claimed range of 230 km. The Premium variant, with a larger 38.88 kWh battery, offers a range of 300 km and is priced at Rs 3.295 million. Both ranges are NEDC certified.

Jaecoo J5

SPG Automobiles launched the Jaecoo J5, a stylish EV known for its Range Rover-inspired design. It is priced at Rs 6.099 million, with a special NAIMA offer bringing it down to Rs 5.699 million. The car comes with a 58.9 kWh battery and a 155 kW motor. The company claims a driving range of 400 km.

Leapmotor B10

Shangrila Motors presented the Leapmotor B10 in two variants. The base model is priced at Rs 49.99 million, while the top variant costs Rs 5.699 million. The base version features a 56.2 kWh LFP battery, and the top variant comes with a larger 67.1 kWh LFP battery. Both variants are powered by a 160 kW motor. The SUV has gained attention for its competitive pricing.

Mahindra BE 6

Agni Incorporated introduced the Mahindra BE 6 in three variants. Prices start at Rs 5.7 million and go up to Rs 6.8 million. All three variants feature a 59 kWh battery and a 99 kW motor. Although the company has not specified the range, the model is drawing interest for its design and features.

Forthing Friday

Laxmi eMobility launched the Forthing Friday, another electric SUV that received a positive response. The base variant is priced at Rs 4.896 million, and the top variant costs Rs 5.496 million. Both versions come with a 64.4 kWh battery and a 99 kW motor. These are special prices under the NAIMA offer.

Mahindra XEV 9e

Agni Incorporated also launched the Mahindra XEV 9e, a coupe-style electric SUV. It is available in three variants. The base model is priced at Rs 6.9 million, the mid-variant at Rs 7.525 million, and the top variant at Rs 9.5 million. The first two variants use a 59 kWh battery and a 99 kW motor, while the top variant comes with a larger 79 kWh battery and a 199 kW motor.

The launch of these new EVs signals a growing shift towards electric mobility in Nepal’s auto market. With more options and competitive pricing, consumers now have greater choice in the EV segment.
