NOC raises fuel prices; petrol to cost Rs 165 per liter in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has raised the price of petrol by Rs 5 per liter, and diesel and kerosene by Rs 4 per liter.

A board meeting of the NOC held on Monday decided to raise prices, effective from midnight on Monday.

With the fresh revision, petrol will cost Rs 165 per liter in Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara and Dipayal, among others. It will cost Rs 164 per liter in Surkhet and Birgunj etc, while it will retail at Rs 162.5 per liter in Charlai, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj and Nepalgunj, among others.

Similarly, the price of diesel and kerosene has increased to Rs 149 per liter in Kathmandu and Pokhara, among others.

Likewise, NOC has raised the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) for domestic carriers by Rs 7 per liter and international carriers by $51 per kiloliter.
