KATHMANDU: The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 saw an encouraging response on its opening day, with more than 29,000 visitors attending the event.
The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), which is organizing the expo at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, said over 29,000 people visited the event on Tuesday, the first day.
Various two- and four-wheeler brands unveiled 48 new vehicle models on the opening day. The launches included models ranging from scooters to premium cars.
The expo has attracted significant participation from domestic and multinational vehicle manufacturers and importers. New brands entering Nepal for the first time, along with new electric cars, e-scooters and electric commercial vehicles, are among the major attractions.
Banks, financial institutions and insurance companies are also offering special deals and concessional financing options for vehicle buyers at the expo.
The second edition of the expo is being organized to promote sustainable, green and technology-driven mobility in Nepal. The six-day event will continue until August 16 (Shrawan 31).
NAIMA expects around 150,000 visitors to attend the expo during the six-day event.
