KATHMANDU: Consumers can now own Great Wall Motor’s newly launched Ora 05 electric SUV with a monthly installment starting from around Rs 41,200.
VG Impex, the official distributor of Great Wall Motors in Nepal, recently introduced the Ora 05 in two variants. The entry variant is priced at Rs 4.699 million.
Buyers opting for financing must make a 40 percent down payment, which amounts to Rs 1.879 million. With current auto loan rates hovering around 6 percent and a seven-year repayment period, the remaining loan amount of Rs 2.819 million results in a monthly EMI of approximately Rs 41,187.
The top variant is priced at Rs 5.199 million. Under the same financing terms, its monthly installment comes to around Rs 45,570.
The Ora 05 stands out with its retro-inspired styling. It features circular LED headlamps, smooth body lines and a clean rear profile. Buyers can choose from seven exterior color options.
The SUV measures 4,471 mm in length and comes with a 2,720 mm wheelbase. It also offers 200 mm of ground clearance, making it suitable for Nepali road conditions.
Powering the Ora 05 is a 100 kW electric motor that produces 260 Nm of peak torque. It uses a 58.3 kWh LFP battery pack.
The SUV delivers a WLTP-certified driving range of 435 km on a single charge.
Inside, the Ora 05 gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen running the Coffee OS infotainment system. Other highlights include wireless charging, a panoramic glass roof and a premium cabin layout.
The SUV comes equipped with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition and a 540-degree camera.
The top variant additionally features a LiDAR-based ADAS system.
Other notable features include seven airbags, a nine-speaker audio system, welcome seats, ventilated seats, a spare tyre and a hidden rear wiper.
