KATHMANDU: Surendra Kumar Upreti has been elected unopposed as the President of the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA).
Upreti was elected unopposed after no other candidate filed a nomination for the post by the deadline of 12 noon on Thursday. The NADA election is scheduled to be held on January 9.
He was serving as the General Secretary of the current NADA Executive Committee. According to NADA, efforts are underway to elect the new executive committee unopposed.
Upreti has been associated with NADA for a long time. In the past, he served as the Treasurer of the association. He has also worked as a member of the Lubricant Committee and the Environment Committee.
Upreti is the Managing Director of STC Group. The group is involved in the business of tyres, lubricants, batteries, and other automobile spare parts in Nepal.
