TAILG S2 electric scooter now available in Nepal at Rs 268,000

KATHMANDU: A new model of TAILG electric scooter has been launched in the Nepali market.

Yom Ma E Motors, the authorized distributor of TAILG in Nepal, unveiled the powerful, sporty TAILG S2 electric scooter amid a ceremony at its Naxal showroom on Tuesday.

The new electric scooter has been priced at Rs 268,000.

According to Sanjeev Shilpakar, director of TAILG Nepal, the sporty scooter was brought targeting young riders. “Our valued consumers liked our previous models – Lion and Tiger. This new model is sportier and targets young riders,” he added.

Rajesh Rajkarnikar, chairperson of TAILG Nepal, said the suspension in the S2 is as comfortable as that of a motorcycle. “The looks and performance of this new scooter are like a motorcycle,” he added.

The S2 features an aggressive front design. It includes a small visor, LED DRL and twin-pod headlamps at the front. It is powered by a 3 kW motor. The scooter delivers a top speed of 75 kilometers per hour and has a climbing capacity of 16 degrees.

According to the company, the scooter is equipped with a 72-volt, 38-ampere-hour graphene battery which offers a range of up to 100 kilometres on a single charge. It can be fully charged in three hours and comes with a maintenance charging system.

The scooter features disc brakes on both the front and rear, along with a combined braking system. Additionally, it includes features like a fully digital console, smart key and under-seat storage.

Three models of TAILG are currently available in Nepal. The company plans to launch the new Tiger scooter in the near future. TAILG Nepal has been providing sales and after-sales service in 10 cities across the country. TAILG scooters come with lifetime free servicing.
