KATHMANDU: Buying Tata Motors’ popular hatchback, the Tiago EV, just got a lot easier. Sipradi Trading, the official distributor of Tata vehicles in Nepal, has rolled out an easy finance scheme for customers looking to buy the new Tiago EV. The offer is part of the company’s ongoing “Joyful Week” campaign.
The Tiago EV starts at Rs 27,49,000. Under normal rules set by Nepal Rastra Bank, buyers need to pay at least 40 percent of the vehicle price as down payment. That would mean customers paying around Rs 1.1 million upfront.
But with this new scheme, customers can now drive home the Tiago EV with a down payment of just Rs 4,30,000. The company itself will arrange the remaining portion of the down payment.
The offer runs until this Saturday, September 26. Customers who own an older vehicle can also trade it in and upgrade to the new Tata EV.
No road tax, free home charger
Customers booking the Tiago EV during the Joyful Week will also receive attractive gifts with every booking.
Those who purchase the vehicle during this period will get free accessories, free annual vehicle tax, and free home charging installation. Customers exchanging their old vehicle will also get the best-ever exchange valuation, the company says, making the upgrade to an EV even more appealing.
Interested buyers can book and test drive the Tiago EV at any authorized Tata Motors showroom across the country.
About the Tiago EV
The Tiago EV, already a familiar name in the Nepali market, started selling in its facelifted form from the NADA Auto Show. The updated version brings noticeable improvements in design, technology, and features.
The new Tiago EV comes with sleek LED headlamps, new LED DRLs, and a redesigned front fascia with a closed, body-colored grille. It rides on new 15-inch wheels with contrasting wheel arch cladding.
At the back, it gets connected LED tail lamps and a revised bumper. The car also features a dual-tone black roof, shark-fin antenna, and chrome finishing on the door handles.
Under the hood, the facelifted Tiago EV uses a 24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with a 55 kW electric motor that produces 114 Nm of torque.
Inside, the cabin gets an updated digital cockpit, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a multi-function steering wheel. New upholstery and a refreshed interior design give the cabin a more modern feel.
On safety, the Tiago EV comes equipped with dual airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors, a reverse camera, and electronic stability control.
