KATHMANDU: TVS Nepal has introduced a Nepali New Year scheme offering free petrol for up to five years on the purchase of motorcycles and scooters. The offer comes as fuel prices continue to rise in the country.
Petrol prices have increased sharply in recent weeks. The price has reached Rs 187 per litre, up from around Rs 160 a month ago. Nepal Oil Corporation has indicated that the price could go as high as Rs 234 per liter based on Indian rates.
Under the scheme titled “TVS New Year Continuous Journey,” customers purchasing a TVS two-wheeler will be eligible for free petrol through a daily lucky draw. Two customers will be selected each day to receive free fuel benefits ranging from one to five years.
The petrol benefit is calculated based on a daily usage of 25 km and a mileage of 40 km per liter. This equals around 18 liters of fuel per month.
The offer also includes discounts of up to Rs 500,000. Customers can purchase vehicles through cash, exchange, or finance options. A minimum monthly installment starts from Rs 2,967.
Customers can exchange any brand of old two-wheelers for new TVS models. The company has also stated that competitive valuation will be provided on exchanged vehicles.
Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributor of TVS in Nepal, said the scheme aims to enhance customer experience and make ownership more affordable. The company added that the offer focuses on value, convenience, and long-term benefits.
