KATHMANDU: Windsor EV, a family car made by MG in India, has arrived in Nepal ahead of its official launch.
This is the second India-made MG model to come Nepal after the Comet EV. Paramount Motors, the official distributor of MG in Nepal, plans to formally launch the Windsor EV in the local market after the budget announcement on May 29.
Windsor EV, which has seen strong sales in India, will compete directly with the BYD Dolphin in Nepal. It will be available in two variants—Exclusive and Essence. The published prices of the two models for customs purposes are Rs 3.949 million and Rs 4.249 million, respectively.
The car comes with modern features like wireless charger, automatic air conditioning, and electrically adjustable front seats for driver and passenger convenience. Additional features include a power tailgate, six airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control and a 360-degree camera.
Windsor EV runs on a 38 kWh LFP battery and is powered by a 100 kW electric motor that delivers a peak torque of 200 Nm. According to MG, the car delivers a range of 331 km.
The car features flush door handles, a sleek surface design and all-LED lighting. Its bold front fascia and unique design are complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels. The Windsor EV also boasts a large panoramic glass roof, an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch floating center control screen.
