KATHMANDU: Wuling has introduced a new long-range variant of the Bingo S (also known as Binguo S in China) electric hatchback, featuring a 52.9 kWh battery that delivers a claimed 525 km range under the CLTC cycle.

The new version positions the Bingo S as a direct rival to the MG4, both developed under the SAIC umbrella.

According to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new variant joins the existing 31.9 kWh (325 km) and 41.9 kWh (430 km) options. All models use a front-mounted 75 kW motor producing 180 Nm of torque, paired with LFP battery technology. DC fast charging enables a 30%–80% charge in around 35 minutes.

The compact EV measures 4,265 mm in length, 1,785 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a 2,610 mm wheelbase. Key features include a 12.8-inch touchscreen, 8.88-inch digital cluster, wireless charging, cruise control, and a six-speaker audio system. Higher variants add heated front seats, a panoramic camera, and power-folding mirrors.

In China, the Bingo S is priced between USD 9,400 and 11,300. The new 52.9 kWh variant’s official launch date is yet to be announced.

In Nepal, Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd. is the authorized distributor of Wuling, offering the Bingo EV starting at Rs 2.99 million.
