KATHMANDU: Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand Zeekr has unveiled its first hybrid SUV, Zeekr 9X, at the 2025 Auto Shanghai.
According to the company, the plug-in hybrid can deliver an impressive electric-only range of 380 kilometres. With this impressive range, users can rely solely on electric power without needing the internal combustion engine for daily commutes.
The 9X is equipped with CATL’s newly developed Feevoy Battery, specifically made for hybrid vehicles. The battery supports 4C fast charging and promises an electric vehicle–like experience even in a hybrid setup. The 4C fast charging, a technology pioneered by CATL, allows electric vehicles to charge their batteries four times faster than a standard 1C rate.
According to the company, the Zeekr 9X can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds. It features a 2.0-litre petrol engine delivering 275 horsepower. In addition, it comes with a 290 kW electric motor at the front and a 370 kW motor at the rear, delivering a combined output of 898 PS.
The hybrid SUV offers a combined electric and petrol driving range of up to 1,500 kilometres.
The full-size three-row Zeekr 9X measures 5,239 mm in length, 2,029 mm in width and 1,819 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,169 mm. It rides on 22-inch alloy wheels and boasts a ground clearance of 288 mm.
