KATHMANDU: Hansraj Hulaschand & Company, the authorized distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal, has launched an updated version of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 in the domestic market.

The new variant comes with added features and improvements and is priced at Rs 414,900 — a Rs 13,000 increase over the previous model, which was priced at Rs 401,900.

The most notable upgrade is the introduction of USD (upside-down) front forks, a major improvement over the regular telescopic forks used in earlier versions. This change is expected to deliver better handling and stability, especially on rough roads and at higher speeds.

The digital console has also been upgraded. It now features Bluetooth connectivity through which riders can access turn-by-turn navigation and other smart features. According to the company, this feature enhances the overall riding experience.

Another significant addition is the inclusion of three ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) modes: Road, Rain and Off-road. These modes allow riders to adjust braking performance based on road conditions, making the rider safe and more adaptable.

Visually, the design remains largely unchanged. The Pulsar N160 retains its twin vertical LED tail lamps, Y-shaped alloy wheels, split grab rails and underbelly exhaust. It also features eyebrow-style LED daytime running lights, a compact front windscreen and a muscular fuel tank that adds to its stylish look.

The bike is powered by a 164.8cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 16 PS of maximum power and 14.6 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It is also equipped with dual-channel ABS, disc brakes at both ends and 17-inch alloy wheels.

With these upgrades, Bajaj is hopeful of delivering a more refined riding experience while preserving the sporty appeal of the Pulsar series. The new features are expected to attract riders looking for a balanced combination of performance, safety and modern connectivity.

The Bajaj Pulsar N160 competes in the 160cc segment against rivals such as the Yamaha FZ-S, Honda X-Blade and TVS Apache RTR.
