KATHMANDU: Tata Motors has increased production of the Tata Sierra after bookings for the midsize SUV crossed 100,000 units across India.
Deliveries of the Sierra began in mid-January 2026, and the company says more than 14,000 units have already been dispatched to customers as of February 2026. The automaker is now ramping up manufacturing volumes to support faster deliveries and reduce waiting periods.
According to a company spokesperson, production is being expanded month-on-month, with close coordination between manufacturing facilities and the supplier network to ensure steady component availability.
The new-generation Sierra was launched in India in late 2025, reviving one of the brand’s most iconic nameplates. The SUV is positioned in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment.

The Tata Sierra is available with three engine options. These include a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 106 PS and 145 Nm, a 1.5-liter TGDi turbo-petrol engine delivering 160 PS and 255 Nm, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine generating 118 PS with up to 280 Nm of torque.
Transmission choices include 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, depending on the variant.
Inside, the SUV features a triple-screen dashboard with a 12.3-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and 12.3-inch passenger display. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, connected-car technology, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and Level-2 ADAS.

The all-new Tata Sierra is expected to launch in Nepal around April-June 2026 through Sipradi Trading, the official distributor of Tata Motors vehicles in the country.
