MG S5 price hiked in Nepal; new rates unveiled

KATHMANDU: Paramount Motors, the authorized distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has increased the price of the MG S5. The revision comes following the impact of the new budget, with prices going up by Rs 100,000.

The price of both Luxury variants equipped with 49 kWh and 62 kWh battery packs has been increased by Rs 100,000.

The MG S5 Luxury variant with a 49 kWh battery was previously priced at Rs 4.999 million. With the latest revision, its new price stands at Rs 5.099 million.

Similarly, the long-range Luxury variant has also received a price hike of Rs 100,000. It is now priced at Rs 5.599 million. However, the Comfort variant remains unchanged. The MG S5 Comfort is still available at Rs 4.399 million.

In terms of features, the MG S5 comes with a 12.8-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch driver information display. It offers three driving modes, heated and ventilated seats, and a wireless charging pad.

Other highlights include a rotary gear knob, panoramic sunroof, and built-in apps such as YouTube, Spotify, and TikTok. It also gets a 360-degree camera.

The SUV is powered by a 99 kW rear-wheel-drive electric motor producing 250 Nm of peak torque. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 430 km on a single charge.

For safety, the MG S5 is equipped with six airbags, auto hold, electronic parking brake, and Level 2 ADAS features.
