KATHMANDU: VinFast is preparing to enter India’s electric two-wheeler segment with three new e-scooters. The company has confirmed plans to introduce the Evo, Feliz, and Viper models in the market.
The brand recently launched the VinFast VF 6 and VinFast VF 7 in India. It is now expanding its portfolio to include electric scooters.
VinFast will bring these models from its global lineup. They will be adapted for Indian conditions and assembled at the Tamil Nadu plant using CKD kits.
The VinFast Feliz and VinFast Viper follow an underbone design. The Feliz comes with a 3 kWh battery and a 2.8 kW motor. The Viper gets a larger 4.8 kWh battery and a 3 kW motor.
The VinFast Evo features a more conventional design. It uses a 2.4 kWh battery paired with a 2.25 kW hub-mounted motor. The model is expected to compete with Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, and TVS iQube in the segment, according to Indian media reports.
