KATHMANDU : Genesis has unveiled the GV90, its new flagship electric SUV aimed at the premium luxury segment.
The full-size SUV measures 5,285 mm in length and comes with a 123.5 kWh battery. Its dual-motor setup produces a combined 657 hp and 800 Nm of torque. The seven-seat version has an estimated range of around 500 km on a single charge.
The GV90 is available in standard and Neolun versions. The top-spec Neolun gets Rolls-Royce-style coach doors with a hidden B-pillar. Genesis says the doors can open independently while maintaining the required structural strength.

The cabin is designed as a luxury lounge. It features a large OLED display, a 25-inch head-up display, Bang & Olufsen audio, massage seats and powered front seats that can rotate 180 degrees when the vehicle is parked.
A four-seat Executive Suite version of the Neolun adds features such as a refrigerator, wood flooring, privacy features and an electronically tintable roof.

The GV90 also gets air suspension, rear-wheel steering and dual electronic limited-slip differentials. Genesis says the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes using a 350 kW fast charger.
Genesis has not yet announced pricing for the GV90 in the US. The model will compete with high-end electric SUVs from brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Range Rover and Cadillac.
