KATHMANDU: The Haval Jolion Max EV stands out as a practical electric SUV for family use, particularly on Kathmandu roads. Its easy driving characteristics, comfortable cabin and long list of features make it suitable for daily urban driving.
The SUV may also appeal to buyers who like the design and driving position of conventional petrol SUVs but want to switch to an electric vehicle. While its powertrain is fully electric, its overall design and proportions retain the familiar SUV character.
The Jolion Max EV measures 4,390 mm in length, 1,877 mm in width and 1,675 mm in height. It has a 190 mm ground clearance, which helps it deal with speed breakers, uneven roads and regular potholes.

Technology is another strong point of the Jolion Max EV. It comes with a 14.6-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, smartphone connectivity, six speakers and voice control. The cabin also features a 10.25-inch digital instrument display.
Parking in Kathmandu is made easier with a 360-degree camera and front and rear parking sensors. The SUV also gets a range of advanced driver-assistance features. These include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance and lane-change assistance.
The interior offers good space for family use. The front seats can be electrically adjusted and come with heating and ventilation functions. A panoramic sunroof adds more openness to the cabin, while the rear seats offer a comfortable seating area for passengers.
The Jolion Max EV uses MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear. Disc brakes are fitted on all four wheels. These features are aimed at providing a balance between ride comfort and stability.
V.G. Impex, the authorized distributor of Great Wall Motor (GWM) vehicles in Nepal, has priced the Haval Jolion Max EV at Rs 5.99 million.
