KATHMANDU: HAMS Automotive, the official distributor of Chinese motorcycle brand QJ Motor in Nepal, has launched the SRV 250S cruiser motorcycle in the Nepali market.

The QJ Motor SRV 250S combines classic cruiser styling with modern features. It enters Nepal’s premium cruiser segment as a new option for riders seeking distinctive design and a V-twin engine.

The motorcycle is priced at Rs 979,000. HAMS Automotive also plans to introduce an automatic version in Nepal soon.

Engine and performance

The QJ Motor SRV 250S is powered by a 249cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, V-twin engine. It produces a maximum power of 27.5 hp at 9,000 rpm and peak torque of 23 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

The V-twin engine configuration is designed to deliver responsive acceleration and a distinctive exhaust note.

Design and comfort

The SRV 250S features neo-retro bobber styling. It has a low seat height of 700 mm, making it easier for shorter riders to handle the motorcycle, particularly in city traffic.

A relaxed riding posture, wide handlebars and forward-set footpegs are designed to improve comfort during city rides and highway journeys. The motorcycle also comes with a 13.5-liter fuel tank for longer trips.

Suspension, brakes and features

The motorcycle features upside-down telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers.

For braking, it gets disc brakes on both wheels and dual-channel ABS as standard. Other features include a digital instrument cluster, full LED lighting and a dedicated USB charging port.

With limited options available in Nepal’s V-twin cruiser segment, the QJ Motor SRV 250S adds another choice for riders looking for a combination of styling, comfort and performance.
