KATHMANDU: Aston Martin has introduced the new DBX GT as a more luxury-focused version of its performance SUV. It sits alongside the sportier DBX S in the lineup.

The DBX GT gets styling changes, a more comfortable setup and additional premium touches inside the cabin.

At the front, it features a new double-vaned grille with horizontal slats instead of the mesh design used on the DBX S. The bumper is finished in body color, while the red exterior accents of the DBX S have been removed.

The SUV gets a two-piece side strake in polished satin silver and new 22-inch forged wheels with a satin titanium finish. A 23-inch wheel option is also available. The rear diffuser and side sills are finished in body color.

At the rear, the DBX GT gets horizontally arranged quad exhausts. Aston Martin says the exhaust system has been tuned for a cleaner and richer sound.

Inside, the front and rear seats get an additional 10 mm of cushioning and bespoke embroidery. The rear gets individual seats while retaining the five-seat layout. A panoramic glass roof comes as standard.

The cabin also gets improved noise insulation, with additional sound-deadening materials, acoustic laminated rear side glass and deep-pile carpets.

The DBX GT also receives revised damper settings for a smoother ride. The throttle and gearbox responses have been refined, while a new transmission mount and additional dampers improve comfort over rough roads.

Power comes from the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 used in the DBX S. It produces 717 BHP and 900 Nm of torque. Aston Martin claims the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 310 km/h.

With the new GT, the Aston Martin DBX lineup now includes GT, S and 707 variants.
