KATHMANDU: BMW Motorrad has unveiled the Vision K18 concept motorcycle at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
The company says the Vision K18 previews the design direction of future high-performance touring motorcycles. Its styling is inspired by supersonic aircraft, including the Concorde.
The concept features a wide saddle section designed in the shape of a delta wing. At the front, the bike gets twin LED headlamps positioned above large air intakes.
The Vision K18 also comes with six exhaust pipes arranged in stacks of three on both sides. BMW has used hand-formed aluminum body panels along with forged carbon fiber components.
Powering the concept is a 1,800cc inline-six engine producing 90 BHP and 157 Nm of torque. The engine receives air through six separate intakes.
The motorcycle is also equipped with adjustable hydraulic suspension that can raise or lower the ride height. It also features actively cooled headlamps.
