KATHMANDU : BYD has introduced a new, more affordable variant of the Atto 2 in Nepal. The new variant comes with a smaller battery pack than the regular version.
Cimex Inc, the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, has introduced the new Atto 2 Essential at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
The new variant gets a 45 kWh battery pack. It offers a claimed WLTP range of 313 km on a single charge.
The previously available Atto 2 Premium was priced at Rs 4.899 million. The new Atto 2 Essential is priced at Rs 4.595 million.
Apart from the smaller battery, there are no major changes to the vehicle. The new variant is designed to offer the same Atto 2 package at a lower price.
