Nissan Tekton SUV debuts in Nepal, starts at Rs 5.129 million

KATHMANDU : Nissan has introduced its new Tekton SUV in Nepal. The SUV was unveiled at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 in Kathmandu.

Pioneer MotoCorp, the official distributor of Nissan in Nepal, has opened bookings for the Tekton. Prices start at Rs 5.129 million, while the top variant is priced at Rs 8.36 million.

The Tekton stands out with its muscular styling, bold body lines and strong road presence. Its design appears to draw inspiration from Nissan’s flagship SUV, the Patrol.

At the front, the SUV features LED headlamps with connected LED daytime running lights. The bonnet gets a muscular design with Tekton branding. The rear features connected LED tail lamps and Tekton badging on the tailgate.

The cabin gets a modern three-tone dashboard. It features a digital driver display and touchscreen infotainment system. Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.

Nissan has also equipped the Tekton with more than 55 connected-car features through its smartphone application. These include remote engine start, remote AC control, remote locking and unlocking, remote light and horn control, vehicle status and Find My Car.
The Tekton is available with 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engines.

The 1.0-liter turbo engine produces 100 PS and 166 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of 19.4 km/liter.

The larger 1.3-liter turbo engine produces 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque. It is offered with either a six-speed manual or six-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The automatic variant also gets paddle shifters and a steering mode selection feature.

Safety is another key focus of the Tekton. All variants come with six airbags as standard. The SUV also offers Level 2 ADAS features.

Standard safety equipment includes brake assist, electronic stability program, traction control, tire pressure monitoring system and front disc brakes.The SUV also gets a rollover sensor, high-tensile steel safety cage, side-impact protection beams and pedestrian protection features.
