New Toyota Hilux launched in Nepal at Rs 15.5 million

KATHMANDU: Toyota has started sales of the ninth-generation Hilux in Nepal. The new pickup truck was unveiled at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

United Traders Syndicate, the authorized distributor of Toyota in Nepal, has priced the new Hilux at Rs 15.5 million.

The ninth-generation Hilux is being rolled out in international markets. It was recently launched in India as well.

The new Hilux gets a bold exterior design and an upgraded interior. Its styling takes inspiration from the latest Land Cruiser, giving the pickup a tougher and more rugged appearance.

The Hilux has established itself as one of the most popular pickup trucks in Nepal. The new generation aims to strengthen its position in the market with its updated design and capabilities.

The new Hilux is expected to be available with a 2.8-liter diesel engine. A 48-volt mild-hybrid version is also expected to be offered in some markets.

The pickup can carry a payload of up to 1 tonne and has a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes.
