BYD introduces sunroof-equipped Atto 2 variant in Nepal at Rs 5.2 million

KATHMANDU: BYD has introduced the Atto 2 Superior variant with a sunroof in Nepal.

Cimex Inc., the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, has started selling the new variant at the NADA Auto Show 2026 in Kathmandu.

The BYD Atto 2 Superior is priced at Rs 5.199 million. The company had earlier introduced the Atto 2 Essential at Rs 4.595 million and the Atto 2 Premium at Rs 4.899 million during the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026.

The Atto 2 is a compact electric SUV powered by a 100 kW front-wheel-drive motor. It gets a 51.13 kWh BYD Blade Battery and offers a claimed WLTP range of 345 km. BYD’s official Nepal brochure confirms these specifications.

The SUV measures 4,310 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width and 1,675 mm in height. It has a 2,620 mm wheelbase and 200 mm ground clearance. The luggage capacity is rated at 380 liters.

Inside, the Atto 2 gets a 12.8-inch rotating touch screen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features include a flat-bottom steering wheel, wireless charging pad, powered and ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, an eight-speaker audio system and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The SUV also gets an electric tailgate and voice assistance.

Safety features include six airbags, ABS, electronic parking brake, electronic stability control, hill-start assist and a 360-degree camera. It also comes with BYD’s digital key and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems.

The NADA Auto Show 2026 is being held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, from August 25 to 30.
