KATHMANDU: The BYD Atto 2 SUV has been launched in Nepal at the NADA Auto Show 2025.
Cimex Inc., the official distributor of BYD, unveiled the model today at Bhrikutimandap.
The SUV was first introduced in China about 18 months ago under the name Yuan Up. Globally, it is now known as the Atto 2. In China, the model received strong demand, with 20,000 bookings within three days of pre-orders opening.
The Atto 2 is designed to be smaller and lighter than the Atto 3. It is available in Nepal in a single variant, priced at Rs 4.399 million.

The SUV comes with a 51 kWh battery pack and a WLTP-certified range of 345 kilometers on a single charge.
It is powered by a 100 kW motor and is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0. In terms of size, the Atto 2 is 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,675 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.
Key features include semi-hidden door handles and 17-inch wheels. The SUV is positioned as a feature-rich model in its segment.
With its design, features and pricing, the Atto 2 will compete with the MG S5, Nammi 06, Kaiyi X3 Pro, Leapmotor B10 and Deepal S05.
