KATHMANDU : Chery’s new electric urban crossover, the Chery Q, has arrived in Kathmandu ahead of its Nepal debut. Pioneer Moto Corp., the authorized distributor of Chery in Nepal, has brought the electric crossover to the country.
The Chery Q will be officially unveiled at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, scheduled to take place at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, from August 11 to 16.
The Chery Q is powered by a 41.2 kWh LFP battery and a 90 kW electric motor. It uses a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) system and offers a claimed range of up to 400 km under the NEDC testing cycle.
The EV supports 85 kW DC fast charging. According to Chery, the battery can charge from 30 to 80 percent in around 16 minutes. It also gets Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality to power external electrical devices.
The Chery Q comes with a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 540-degree camera system. It also features more than 20 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
The electric crossover offers 375 liters of boot space. This can be expanded to around 1,450 liters by folding the rear seats.
The Chery Q is built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform. It combines a compact exterior with a spacious and practical cabin.
The model has also received international design recognition. It won the 2025 Red Dot Design Award and the 2026 iF Design Award.
Further details, including its Nepal-specific variants and pricing, are expected to be announced during the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026.
