KATHMANDU: Dongfeng has introduced updated variants of the Nammi Box electric hatchback in Nepal. The new variants have been introduced at the ongoing NADA Auto Show 2026 by MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the authorized distributor of Dongfeng vehicles in Nepal.
The company has started sales of the Nammi Box E2 330 and E2 440 variants. The E2 330 is officially priced at Rs 3.099 million, while the E2 440 carries a price tag of Rs 3.299 million.
However, as part of the NADA Auto Show offer, the E2 330 is available for Rs 2.999 million, while the E2 440 is priced at Rs 3.199 million. This makes the entry-level Nammi Box available for under Rs 3 million during the exhibition.
The new pricing represents a discount of Rs 250,000 compared to the earlier Nammi Box E2 price of Rs 3.249 million.
The Nammi Box E2 330 is powered by a 70 kW electric motor and gets a 31.4 kWh battery pack. It offers a claimed range of 330 km under the CLTC testing cycle and has a top speed of 140 km/h.
The larger-battery version gets a 42.3 kWh battery and offers a claimed CLTC range of up to 430 km. Available specifications indicate that the 42.3 kWh version is associated with the Nammi Box E3 designation in Nepal, rather than E2 440.
The Nammi Box measures 4,030 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width and 1,570 mm in height. It has a 2,660 mm wheelbase and around 176 mm of ground clearance. The EV is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of features, the Nammi Box comes with frameless doors, flush door handles and an automatic parking system. The cabin gets a 5-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central infotainment screen.
Other features include a 360-degree panoramic camera, wireless phone charging and a heated and ventilated driver’s seat with memory function. It also gets automatic air conditioning and multiple drive modes.
Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, brake assist and hill-start assist. The higher-spec versions also offer advanced driver assistance features.
