KATHMANDU : Dongfeng Nammi is preparing to introduce something new for the Vigo electric SUV in Nepal.

MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor of Nammi in Nepal, has teased a new Vigo variant through its official Facebook page, Dongfeng Nepal. The new model is expected to arrive this week.

Based on the teaser, the upcoming Vigo appears to be a version without the panoramic sunroof. The current Vigo is sold with a sunroof, so the new variant could come at a lower price. However, the company has not confirmed the pricing or details yet.

The new variant could make the Vigo more competitive in the growing electric crossover segment. Several brands have introduced attractive prices and offers at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo.

The Vigo is currently available with 44.94 kWh and 51.87 kWh battery options. They offer claimed WLTP ranges of 300 km and 350 km, respectively.

The SUV comes with features such as a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, 8.8-inch driver display, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, voice control and Level 2 ADAS.

Other highlights include heated and ventilated driver seats, adaptive cruise control, ambient lighting, 18-inch wheels and a 167 kW DC fast-charging capability.

The Vigo also gets six airbags, hill-hold assist, hill-descent control and traction control.

More details about the new variant, including its price and features, are expected to be revealed soon.
