KATHMANDU: The Unitree G1 humanoid robot and Go2 quadruped robot will be among the major attractions at the 18th NADA Auto Show, which begins from August 25 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
The two different types of robots will be displayed at the auto show organized by the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal.
The G1 is a humanoid robot that walks on two legs and has human-like arms. It is mainly designed for research, education and learning complex tasks that are normally performed by humans.
The Go2, meanwhile, is a four-legged robot with a dog-like design. It can be used for security patrols, rescue operations, transporting goods and following people, among other tasks.
The NADA Auto Show will run from August 25 to 30 and will feature more than 200 stalls. Spread across around 300,000 square feet, the show will include 23 passenger vehicle brands, 17 light commercial vehicle brands, 13 two-wheeler brands, around 70 automobile parts and product stalls, and 10 financial and insurance institutions.
Robotics, artificial intelligence, digital technology and locally produced products will be among the key focuses of this year’s show.
Along with new vehicle launches, the exhibition will feature various technologies and interactive programs for visitors.
NADA has linked the 2026 auto show with its 50th anniversary Golden Jubilee celebrations, making this year’s event broader in scope and message.
