KATHMANDU: The government has decided to include dry ports, petroleum pipelines, cable cars, and other projects in the list of national priority projects. The decision was made at a Cabinet meeting held on August 25.
According to the Cabinet decision, “The 20 industrial villages, industrial zones, special economic zones, dry ports, petroleum pipelines, and cable car projects operated by the private sector, as announced by the Government of Nepal on the proposal of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, will be determined as national priority projects, and the notification thereof will be published in the Gazette.”
Similarly, the meeting has given prior approval to conduct a survey on the organization and management of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and its subordinate bodies.
