KATHMANDU: Honda has started testing the updated Honda City facelift, with a prototype recently spotted in Brazil. The model is expected to launch in the second half of 2026.

The facelift is likely to bring minor design updates rather than a full overhaul. Reports suggest some styling inspiration from the Honda Civic, but the overall shape remains similar to the current model.

At the rear, the test unit shows revised tail lamps and a redesigned bumper. New alloy wheels are also expected.

Inside, the updated City could get refreshed upholstery and additional features. These may include a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and an updated infotainment system.

Mechanically, the City is expected to remain unchanged. It will continue with the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 119 BHP and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a CVT.

The City Hybrid variant will also receive similar cosmetic updates. It will retain its 1.5-liter hybrid powertrain paired with a CVT.
