KATHMANDU: Fresh photos have revealed the full interior of the upcoming Hyundai IONIQ 3, giving the first clear look at the brand’s new Pleos Connect infotainment system.

The compact electric SUV shows Hyundai’s latest approach to technology, design, and practicality. Spy photos were revealed by Carscoops.

Inside, the IONIQ 3 features a large Tesla-style central touchscreen that connects the car, cloud, and smart devices. A separate digital driver display sits behind the steering wheel for essential driving information. The steering wheel includes physical buttons for easier control, combining modern design with practical use.

The cabin follows Hyundai’s “Art of Steel” design philosophy, using soft-touch and eco-friendly materials like recycled fabrics and aluminum foam. Buyers can customize themes, lighting, and accessories through Hyundai’s Bring Your Own Lifestyle (BYOL) concept.

Exterior spy shots also show pixel-style LED lights, keeping the signature IONIQ look.

Positioned below the IONIQ 5 and 6, the IONIQ 3 will target urban buyers in Europe and Asia seeking an affordable EV. It will compete with the Tesla Model 2, VW ID.2, Kia EV3, and BYD Dolphin.

The new 3 is expected to use a simplified version of the same platform, running on a 400-volt system. It is likely to offer two battery options 58 kWh and 81.4 kWh and may debut with a single 201 hp (204 PS / 150 kW) front-wheel-drive motor.

Built on a modified E-GMP Lite platform, the IONIQ 3 is expected to offer 400–480 km range, fast charging, and advanced driver-assist features.

With its connected tech, clean design, and focus on sustainability, the IONIQ 3 is shaping up to be Hyundai’s smartest compact EV yet.

Inside, the model runs on Android Automotive OS, featuring a smartphone-like interface with customizable menus. It also includes cloud-based user profiles, called Pleos ID, which let drivers access their personalized settings in any Pleos-equipped vehicle.
