KATHMANDU: As the English New Year begins, auto importers are rolling out new schemes to clear their remaining stock. EVs rarely came with offers a few years ago, but growing competition has now pushed dealers to cut prices and introduce buyer-friendly packages.
EVs that cost around Rs 5.7 million in mid-2025 are now available for about Rs 4.7 million. Many brands also announced reduced prices during the Naima Mobility Show and the NADA Auto Show.
Nammi and Deepal models continue to perform well in the market. Offers on Nammi vehicles from the NADA Auto Show are still available. Deepal’s S07 SUV is drawing attention with a buyback guarantee and a five-year no-cost plan.
Shangrila Motors has set up an exchange camp for Leapmotor. The brand is providing cash discounts, exchange bonuses, road tax coverage, free accessories, and both a 2.2 kW travel charger and a 7 kW home charger.
SPG Automobile, the distributor for Omoda and Jaecoo, has introduced the ‘Own the Car, Own the Game’ scheme linked with the Nepal Premier League Cricket.
