Jagdamba Motors launching iGO variant of TVS Raider on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: Indian motorcycle brand TVS is unveiling a new variant of its Raider series in the Nepali market on Tuesday.

Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of TVS for Nepal, has announced that the Raider iGO variant will be launched in the domestic market on Tuesday.

According to the company, the iGO variant comes with advanced features and is built with a sporty naked street design. It is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder, three-valve, air-and-oil-cooled engine equipped with iGO Assist technology. The engine generates a peak torque of 11.75 Nm at 6000 RPM.

The motorcycle features a five-speed gearbox and can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, according to the company.

TVS has claimed that with its IntelliGO (iGO) Assist technology, the new Raider variant offers up to 10% better efficiency compared to other models, while the EcoThrust FI system improves mileage by 15%.

The Raider iGO is expected to cost Rs20,000-25,000 more than the existing model, according to the company.

The Raider iGO variant comes with a full LED setup featuring an animalistic headlamp and a colorful reverse LCD TFT console offering more than 85 connected features.

Other highlights in the bike include one-touch operation, call management, voice assist, Hyper Smart Connect, navigation, Glide Through Traffic (GTT) system, ISG silent starter, engine cutoff, and three riding modes (Eco, Boost and Power).

The Raider iGo comes with telescopic front forks, adjustable monoshock suspension, front disc and rear drum brakes, SBT braking system, and a roto-petal brake disc.

The top variant of the TVS Raider in Nepal is currently priced at Rs. 299,900. The Raider iGO is expected to cost Rs20,000-25,000 more than the existing model, according to the company.
