KATHMANDU: TVS Motor Company became the highest-selling two-wheeler brand in June 2026 after posting strong growth in combined domestic and export sales in India.
The company sold 565,417 motorcycles and scooters during the month, a 47 percent increase compared to the same period last year. This allowed TVS to overtake both Hero MotoCorp and Honda in overall monthly sales.
Hero MotoCorp ranked second with 541,159 units, reflecting a 2.3 percent year-on-year decline. Honda followed with 528,281 units, posting 26 percent year-on-year growth.
Despite leading in combined sales, TVS remained third in the domestic market. Hero MotoCorp continued to lead domestic dispatches with 502,890 units, while Honda ranked second with 468,956 units. Strong export sales helped TVS secure the overall top position.
TVS also maintained its leadership in India’s electric two-wheeler segment. The company sold 48,537 electric two-wheelers in June, more than double the 21,812 units sold by Hero MotoCorp’s Vida electric scooter brand.
