KATHMANDU: TVS Motor Company is reportedly developing a new 160cc maxi-scooter for the Indian market.
The upcoming model will be positioned above the NTorq 150. It is expected to target young buyers looking for a performance-oriented scooter.
Reports suggest the new maxi-scooter will be built on an all-new platform. It will feature a 160cc liquid-cooled engine, focusing on better performance.
As a premium offering, the scooter is likely to come with telescopic front forks and disc brakes at both ends. It is also expected to offer connected technology and other modern features.
TVS is developing this model to compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160 in the growing maxi-scooter segment.
