KATHMANDU: CG Motocorp has introduced the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara in Nepal in four variants. Earlier, the company had opened bookings by announcing only the base Delta variant price.

Following the new budget, the government revised the EV tax structure. The tax is now based on CIF value instead of motor power. With this change, the company has announced updated prices for all variants.

The Delta variant comes with a 49 kWh battery and a 108 kW motor. It was initially offered at an introductory price of Rs 4.999 million. The revised price was set at Rs 5.299 million. Now, under the new tax structure, its price has been reduced to Rs 4.899 million.

The Zeta variant features a larger 61 kWh battery and a 128 kW motor. It is now priced at Rs 5.299 million.

The Alpha variant is priced at Rs 5.899 million. The dual-tone version of Alpha costs Rs 5.949 million. According to the company, variants with the larger battery have seen a price reduction of up to Rs 500,000.

CG Motocorp Managing Director Karan Chaudhary said the benefits from tax changes will be fully passed on to customers without adding margins.
