KATHMANDU: JSW MG India is set to unveil the new Hector Tomahawk EV in India on August 26. The company has been testing the upcoming electric SUV at various locations across the country.

The automaker has confirmed the Hector Tomahawk name and released details of its exterior design. It will be the first MG model based on the company’s Advanced Drive Architecture (ADAPT) platform.

The SUV gets a modern front-end design with distinctive LED headlamps and daytime running lights. The MG logo is placed at the center, while the closed-off front section reflects its electric powertrain.

The test vehicle has been spotted in green with a black roof and roof rails, suggesting a dual-tone exterior. It also gets chrome-finished door handles, black body cladding, wide wheel arches and large two-tone alloy wheels.

The Hector Tomahawk is expected to be based on the Wuling Eksion, which is already sold in Nepal. However, JSW MG has yet to reveal the full technical specifications.

If it shares the Xingxiang’s dimensions and equipment, the SUV could measure around 4.7 meters in length. Expected features include a powered tailgate, leather seats, heated and ventilated front seats, a 12.8-inch infotainment screen and an 8.8-inch driver display.

The SUV is also expected to offer a 50W wireless charger, 360-degree camera, six airbags and Level 2 ADAS.

The Hector Tomahawk could use the Eksion’s 69.2 kWh LFP battery and 150 kW electric motor. However, these specifications have not yet been officially confirmed.
