KATHMANDU: Leapmotor has introduced a new, lower-powered version of its entry-level electric hatchback, the T03, in Nepal.
Shangrila Motors, the authorized distributor of Leapmotor in Nepal, unveiled the new T03 at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The new version is equipped with a 50 kW electric motor.
The company previously offered the T03 with a 70 kW motor. The new 50 kW version is priced at Rs. 3.199 million, making it Rs. 200,000 cheaper than the regular T03, which is priced at Rs. 3.399 million.
Despite the smaller motor, the new T03 retains the same 37.3 kWh battery pack. The company claims a driving range of up to 403 km on a full charge under the CLTC cycle.
The T03 measures 3,620 mm in length, 1,652 mm in width and 1,577 mm in height. It has a 2,400 mm wheelbase and 165 mm ground clearance.
Inside, the compact EV features an 8-inch instrument cluster and a 10-inch central touchscreen. It also comes with a panoramic sunroof and other convenience features.
For safety, the T03 gets Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The system includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot detection and lane keeping assist, among other features.
Leapmotor also offers its LEAP Pilot Driver Active Safety Assistance system with the T03.
Under the NAIMA Expo offer, customers purchasing the Leapmotor T03 will receive one year of free insurance and road tax.
The model name is Leapmotor T03, and the Nepal distributor is Shangrila Motors. Leapmotor’s Nepal website lists the T03 with a 37.3 kWh battery and Level 2 ADAS, while its regular Nepal specification is currently listed with a 95 PS motor.
